How to wire a 6-pin DPDT switch?
Connect up to four loads to terminals #1, #3, #4, and #6. Make sure to ground your loads.
Connect your power source positive to the unused screw terminal #2 (which powers terminals #1 and #3) and screw terminal #5 (which powers terminals #4 and #6). Ground the negative.
This 6-pin DPDT On/Off/On switch cannot physically power all loads simultaneously. Toggle to the ON position to power loads #3 and #6, and toggle to the other ON position to power loads #1 and #4.
For momentary switches, there is only one momentary (ON) position.
To power a 12V DC permanent magnet (PMDC) motor with reverse control capability, start by connecting short jumpers between terminals #1 and #6, and between terminals #3 and #4. Connect your motor to terminals #3 and #6, using a relay if needed. Connect your power source positive to terminal #2 and your negative to terminal #5. Toggle to the ON position to drive the motor forward, and toggle to the other ON position to reverse the motor direction.
