A rocker switch is an electronic switch commonly used to control the on-off state of a circuit. It consists of a resilient lever and two contact points. When external pressure or force is applied, the resilient lever deforms, causing the contact points to either close or open. Rocker switches typically have three wiring terminals:

Wiring Process
When powering household appliances, the wiring process for a rocker switch is as follows:
Turn Off the Power: Before performing any electrical work, ensure that the power is completely turned off to prevent electric shock accidents.
Identify the Wires: Use an electric tester or voltage tester to confirm the polarity of the wires and distinguish between the live wire, neutral wire, and ground wire.
Connect the Common Terminal: Connect the live wire of the power supply to the common terminal (COM) of the rocker switch.
Connect the Load: Connect the live wire of the household appliance to the normally open terminal (NO) of the rocker switch, and connect the neutral wire of the household appliance directly to the neutral wire terminal of the power supply. This way, when the rocker switch is in the closed state, the circuit of the household appliance will be energized.
Insulation Treatment: After wiring, apply insulation treatment to all exposed wire terminals to prevent short circuits or electric shocks.
Working Principle
Rocker switches control the on-off state of the circuit through mechanical operation. When the operator presses one side of the rocker, the resilient lever deforms, causing the normally open terminal to contact the common terminal, closing the circuit and allowing the household appliance to operate. When the operator releases the rocker, the resilient lever restores its original shape, separating the normally open terminal from the common terminal, opening the circuit, and stopping the household appliance.
